NSS Cell

National Service Scheme, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India, popularly known as NSS, was launched in Gandhiji’s Birth Centenary Year, 1969, in 37 Universities involving 40,000 students with a primary focus on the development of personality of students through community service. Today, NSS has more than 3.2 million student volunteers on its roll spread over 298 Universities, 42 (+2) Senior Secondary Councils and the Directorate of Vocational Education all over the country. From its inception, more than 3.75 crore students from Universities, Colleges and Institutions of higher learning have benefited from the NSS activities as student volunteers.

 

Activities organised by the National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell

In the Year 2016

  • Date: 19/03/2016, A Medical Camp was organised under the aegis of NSS Cell of Chanakya National Law University, PATNA, where more than a hundred students, faculty members and non-teaching staff had their medical check-ups. Blood Test was also done for the detection of Diabetes and Hepatitis B. Click here to view more details.
  • Date: 12/02/2016, A Road Safety Awareness programme under the aegis of NSS Cell was held in Moot Court Hall of CNLU to spread awareness regarding road safety. Mr. Ramnik Kumar of TVS Motor Company acquainted the students with the entire mechanism of road safety. On this occasion, NSS volunteers, NSS Programme Officers, Faculty members and Staff of CNLU were present. Registrar of the University (Prof.) Dr S. P. Singh was also present on this occasion.

In the Year 2015

  • The special Plantation Programme was organised in August 2015 by the NSS Cell in the CNLU campus, in which 200 different varieties of tree-siblings were planted by about 35 volunteers of NSS.   • A special Camping Programme was organised at (adopted village) Dilawarpur under Bidupur Block of Vaishali Dist. from 11-17 September 2015. Several Awareness & Legal Aid Programme was organised by the volunteers of NSS. Click here to view details.
