Through consistent oversight and responsive governance, the Committee strives to make hostel life an enriching part of the university experience.
Responsibilities
Dining Excellence
The Committee oversees the quality and hygiene standards of food served in the mess, addresses student concerns promptly, and collaborates with the administration during the mess contractor selection process. Members develop comprehensive meal plans through extensive consultation with hostel residents to ensure nutritional needs are met while respecting diverse preferences.

Maintaining pristine hostel conditions remains a priority. The Committee coordinates with university authorities to implement regular fumigation, proper waste management systems, and preventive measures against communicable diseases. Their commitment extends to ensuring that all maintenance issues are addressed swiftly.
Student Advocacy
As elected representatives, Committee members serve as a direct channel to the university administration, advocating for timely resolution of hostel-related grievances and continually working to improve residential facilities.
Safety and Compliance
The Committee collaborates with the Anti-Ragging Squad to maintain a harassment-free environment, enforces the prohibition of alcohol and other intoxicants on campus, and ensures that hostel accommodations are used exclusively by registered students.
Commitment
Each committee member has been democratically elected from across all academic years, bringing diverse perspectives to address the unique challenges of communal living. Under the guidance of university authorities, the Committee upholds the highest standards of accountability and transparency in its operations.
